How do I use the tuners on my Trouper?
You can find out all about the Peachtree Bridge at this page (Tuner Users Guide).
What type of strings are installed?
The strings may vary on each Trouper, since we try to match them to the pickups and overall sound. However, in most cases, the strings will be either 9-46s or 10-46s, and are generally close enough to each other to not require a truss rod change, if you choose to change from one to the other. We do recommend using high output strings (for example, Ernie Ball M-Steel), as they provide better bass response on the small format Trouper. We also use Stringjoy Broadway strings, which are some of the best strings available.
What are my options when taking a break from playing?

We get that you can't be playing the Trouper every minute of the day, and it is important to have a way to put the instrument down. While it is always safest to put the guitar back into its case in between sessions, this can sometimes be inconvenient or not really possible. Regular guitars can be a bit of a problem in this regard, with people often placing the guitar in some position that is not stable and coming back to find their instrument having fallen down and becoming damaged. As a result, the Trouper has been designed to allow several options, allowing you to take a break without worrying about the safety of your guitar.

1 - As mentioned, the custom fitted case is always the safest place for it. Gig bags sized for larger mandolins also fit the Trouper well.

2 - The headstock has been designed to fit most wall hangers and many guitar stands. Always make sure that the hanger is narrow enough to hold the headstock and that is not made from materials that will demage the finish.

3 - The back / bridge side of the body has been designed to be flat and the strap button off to one side to allow you to stand the guitar on a flat surface, such as a floor or table. It won't roll left or right, but you do have to be careful. Always lean it against a wall or other secure object, and never place it on a rough surface that could damage the finish. Placing it on a carpet or wood floor is best.

4 - There are a number of compact guitar stands on the market that have adjustable widths, and simply allow you to open it up, and place the guitar on it. Be careful to not open it so wide that the guitar can fall through, or so narrow that is is top heavy and falls down.

5 - The Trouper is shipped with a loop of material that can be inserted between the strings and the headstock and looped through itself around so that the guitar can be hung from things like coat hooks on the back of doors. Always ensure that the loop has been secured properly and that the hook can take the weight of the guitar.
